On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, scientists from Whitehead | MIT, Tobi Oni and Iain Cheeseman, helped students uncover the mystery of cells, how they may result in cancer and demonstrated how we use a microscope to study cells!

Earth Day 2021: Discover Your Backyard

Did you know that you had a collection of ecosystems in your backyard? On Earth Day, CYD Institute invited students to start thinking about their backyards as an ecosystem in which humans play an important role.  Through a biodiversity challenge, our lead, Sashoy Milton, encouraged the students to think of the new discoveries they can make on a regular basis right there at home! She invited them to seek out the connections human have to the environment.
